PC Card Technical Support

Are you having problems with your PC Card or ExpressCard products? The PCMCIA association sets the Standards for ExpressCard and PC Card technology but does not manufacture or sell any card products and consequently does not have the resources for technical support for products. Below are some steps you can take to find the answer to your problems as quickly as possible.

Contact the Card Manufacturer
See the PCMCIA Member List to find the manufacturer of your ExpressCard or PC Card product. Some problems may require you to contact the host (PC) manufacturer or OS/software provider. All PC Card card, host, and software manufacturers who are members of PCMCIA are listed in the Member Directory. If the manufacturer is not listed, the company is not a member of PCMCIA. Try performing a search in Google with the company name along with "PCMCIA" or "PC Card" or "ExpressCard" to try to find your card's manufacturer's web page.

What if the manufacturer's name is not printed on the card?
Some manufacturers do not print their name on their card products. In order to get tech support, you will need to find out the card manufacturer. If the card was bundled with a computer, you may be able to find out (and possibly get support) by contacting the computer manufacturer. Or, contact the source from which you purchased the card.

Post Your Question to the alt.periphs.pcmcia Usenet Newsgroup
Many experienced PC Card users and designer/developers frequently visit the alt.periphs.pcmcia Usenet Newsgroup. You may also be able to get information on hard to find cards from this group.
